Nikitas, the owner of the hotel loves nature and cultivations since he was involved into this from his very early age of 7years old, helping his parents. For the last three years, Aegialis Hotel & Spa tries to give the best to its guests by maintaining an organic and responsible garden. Since Nikitas Giannakopoulou and his two assistants created the garden, most of the vegetables are cultivated here. A passion for sustainable tourism and the real wish to maintain the tradition and cultural heritage of Amorgos, have caused that today’s the organic garden provides plenty of the plants and vegetables eaten in the Hotel.
Fava, olive oil and wine come from our fields but in order to support the local economy some products are provided by residents of surrounding villages: Amorgian soft cheese (similar to feta), the hard Amorgian cheese (similar to parmesan), eggs, chicken, pork and goat meat, etc.
